Business Continuity Plan & Checklist for Pandemic
Production continues at TSE Industries as we are considered “Essential Critical Manufacturing” by the U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security. We have not shut down and have no intention of doing so.
The U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security’s “Memorandum on Identification of Essential Critical Infrastructure Workers During Covid-19 Response” dated March 19, 2020, defines “Critical Manufacturing” as workers necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, chemical manufacturing, workers at chemical manufacturing plants, workers in laboratories, workers at distribution facilities, workers supporting safe transportation of chemicals, and workers supporting the operation and maintenance of facilities whose work cannot be done remotely and requires the presence of highly trained personnel to ensure safe operations.
This definition clearly includes TSE, TSE-OK, and WHK BioSystems.
Customers with questions are encouraged to communicate with their usual Customer Service contact, who is ready to assist them. Employees are encouraged to contact any HR Representative with questions or concerns. In order to help prevent the possible spread of the coronavirus, some of our Administrative personnel are working remotely from home. They have full telephonic and network access as though they were in the offices at headquarters.
TSE has activated its Business Continuity Plan & Checklist for Pandemic. This comprehensive plan addresses steps we are taking across all TSE and WHK divisions to maintain all necessary functions of management, production, inventory, communications, IT, and shipping in the face of a pandemic. The Plan is flexible and will be modified and adjusted as necessary to respond to changing conditions in real-time.
TSE’s top management team holds multiple meetings each week to share the latest information on the coronavirus, to get status reports from all of our divisions, and to address all issues that require attention. These meetings will continue as long as this challenge exists.
Customers with pending orders who are unable to accept deliveries are urged to contact their Customer Service Representative and inform them of this fact. Many carriers have advised us that they do not have the facilities to warehouse such orders, and that these shipments will be returned to us. In such cases, the Customer will be responsible for the wasted round-trip freight charges, which will be added to your invoice.
Finally, let’s all remember that we have overcome challenges far greater than this in the past and will overcome this one as well. Thank you for your business and your confidence in TSE!
